Dal Fiume – The Company
Dalfiume Nobilvini came into being in 1970 after the acquisition by the Vinicola Dalfiume Odoardo House, founded in 1950, of the Vinicola Alberici Anacleto Company, founded in 1940.
This merger ensured that the DALFIUME NOBILVINI, managed first by Odoardo Dalfiume and then by his sons, Franco and Giyears, and now involving the collaboration of his grandchildren, Silvia and David, became a market leader, both in terms of production capacity and in terms of the commercialisation of typical wines of the Emilia Romagna region. Considerable investment has been made to improve the internal capacity of storing the wines and on the infrastructure of the fermentation area for the grapes; two rubber lined presses (each with a capacity for 60,000 kg) have been purchased, as well as a modern refrigeration system for maintaining the must at controlled temperatures (about 15-18 degrees) during the fermentation process, thereby enhancing the perfume and the essential characteristics of different wines. For the bottling of the wine, the most appropriate ways have been analysed and adopted in a perfectly aseptic environment, using a system of microfiltration and using all the best packaging equipment to ensure and obtain a product of the highest quality. Certainly, the quality of the product is fundamental, but that does not mean that the image of the bottle and its packaging can be neglected; convinced by this, DALFIUME NOBILVINI, using expert designers, wanted to create packaging that is refined and elegant and which matches the level of quality of its wine products.
Originally, DALFIUME NOBILVINI fermented grapes exclusively harvested by farmers in the Emilia Romagna region; subsequently, it has acquired its own farming companies located in the hill regions highly adapted to the cultivation of grapes over a total surface area of 80 hectares and, developing vineyards in absolute purity, has managed to obtain wines of the highest quality which are regulated and guaranteed to come from the region specified on the bottle (Denominazione d'orgine controllata / Denominazione d'orgine controllata garantita, DOC / DOCG). They are marketed with the brand, VILLA POGGIOLO.
As well as the DOC wines of the Romagna region, such as Albana, Trebbiano and Sangiovese, there are also the DOC wines from the Imolan Hills, such as Pignoletto, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Novello. Amongst the wines which are produced, there are also those that are typical of the region, such as the Sillaro White, the Trebbiano Rubicone, the Chardonnay dell'Emilia, the Sangiovese Rubicone and the Lambrusco dell'Emilia.
All this puts DALFIUME NOBILVINI at the top of regional wine production, giving it the image of quality and professionalism that has distinguished it always.
